The International Baccalaureate program is an international non-profit organization that works with schools around the world to establish rigorous academic programs that meet its standards for high-level, inquiry-based education that promotes international understanding.
IB World Schools work to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
The Primary Years Programme allows students to be actively involved in their learning rather than having teachers simply “deliver” the curriculum. As a result, students are more engaged in the lesson, experience it, ask questions, find answers, and reflect on their learning. This allows for the students to make more connections in a real & relevant way to them and they understand how the information can be applied to many areas of life. Students are also encouraged to take action with their newly acquired knowledge.
